Several presentations of funds raised for Charity
The club helped pack bags at Morrisons on the 20th December when the public donated £1,705 to the President's nominated charities NSPCC and Rochdale Connections Trust
The Rotary Club made this up to £2,000 and cheque for £1,000 each have been presented to the charities
The club had already made £2,300 profit on the Concert by Grimethorpe Colliery Band on 2nd November 2008. In recognition of the support given to them at the Morrisons Bag Pack by The Innerwheel Club of Rochdale, The President was able to present their President Sue Cannell with a cheque for £500 from this sum which will go to her chosen charity Banardos. The presentation took place at the Inner Wheel Italian Evening held at the Bella Vista on Friday Night 16th January 2009
On Sunday 1st March 2009, a Gilbert and Sullivan Lunch at Nutters Restaurant was arranged by the Rotary Club of Rochdale and as well as having a very satisfying Sunday Lunch we were able to raise £700 towards the Mayor of Rochdale's appeal for The Springhill Hospice and the British Heart Foundation. The Mayor was presented with a cheque for that amount on Thursday 26th March 2009
On Thursday 4th June 2009 the club presented a cheque for £750 to send a cow to Africa as part of the "send a cow" project
